Default Confused the whole way with KK...

Okay, I was pretty confused this entire hand and ended up playing it passively the entire way. My thoughts (or lack of) are noted below. Recommendations for better lines?

MP has stats of 74.5/25.5/2/40/57 after 51 hands. Pretty "typical" in that he'll call down with any part of the board, chasing draws and such.
BN has stats of 75/45/5/14/0 after only 20 hands, and that's all I have on him.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hero ($46.50)
UTG ($59.30)
MP ($213.74)
CO ($54.20)
Button ($55.52)
SB ($31.95)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, MP raises to $2, 1 fold, Button raises to $5, 1 fold, Hero calls $4.50, MP calls $3.

I considered putting in a 3rd bet but didn't want a huge pot out of position.

Flop: ($15.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $4, Button calls $4, Hero calls $4.

I just figure that I'd C/C all the way down here if no one shows any real aggression.

Turn: ($27.25) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $15, Button folds, Hero calls $15.

Was C/C here silly? I picked up a flush draw and could very well have the best hand still.

River: ($57.25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP checks.

Really not sure what I would have done here. Any reasonable bet by him would have committed me.

Final Pot: $57.25

i wouldve 3bet preflop and definitely raised on the flop bet.

wouldve lead on the turn to see where i stand and go from there.

Because, for whatever reason, the PF re-raise put me on my heels and I played the entire hand like a wimp.

Regarding raising the flop:

1. Do we like the C/R line, or simply betting out and 3-betting if raised?
2. Putting in anything close to a pot sized raise on the flop basically commits us. Are we okay with that?

c/r the flop would be nice if you were pretty sure that someone was going to come out and bet.

why would you not be ok with being allin with your hand?

this is online nl25, not the world series of poker

first of all original miniraise means absolutely nothing. many players online miniraise with any 2 suited cards, ace rag, etc.

as for the second reraise preflop, it means he is is holding some sort of hand and trying to isolate. could be anything from 22-aa, a9-ak, two broadways, (or even worse, depending on the player). I've seen some of the worst cases of poker at these tables so that reraise shouldn't worry you at all. Only hand you fear right now is aces and the chances of him holding that are only a fraction of a percennt.

putting in a nice sized reraise preflop is a good idea. first of all it will isolate the pot as most others wont call a 3 raises pot pf w/ rags (though some do) and it may even take the pot right there which isn't too bad

come out raising that flop too. that is a must.

Regarding check-raises: it is my personal style to only check-raise with A) bluff or semi-bluff B) monster. The reasoning behind this is that I don't want to be put to a tough decision if I'm 3-bet all-in with a good but not great hand, I can either fold knowing I'm way behind or call knowing that I've got him crushed. Perhaps this is a leak of mine, thoughts?
