Default 50/100 NL hand

This hand really left a bad taste in my mouth.

It was down to 3-handed, with me on the button with about 12k. BB has me covered with about 15k. I havent played with him much, but he seems a good player, capable of making moves. I don't know how much it means, but I have been laying down some hands prior to this hand, after he put some pressure on me.

Anyways, I have Qd9d on the button and make it 350. SB folds and the BB calls.

Flop comes 8d 6d 3c

He checks, I bet 600. He check-raises me to 1500. I wont reveal my thinking at the moment, and just say what I did.

I reraise to 4500. He then goes all-in, which means about 7900 more for me to call. I call.

You probably see why this hand bothers me so much ;-) But please go through the hand and tell me what you would have done differently, how much you would have raised if you opted to etc.

Thanks.

I really dont play these stakes, but to me, there is nothing wrong with the way this hand went down. You need to take a stand, and reraising with a flush draw is the perfect way to do it. Once he pushes, it sucks becuase he has a legitimate hand, but obviously you call. This seems like one of those pefect hands where the money goes in no matter what, and you both played your hands correctly.

He has trips. You're beat. Get out.

If I'm wrong about my trips read, say so. I'll have half of my left testicle removed.

Why does he have trips. All he did was check-raise the flop.

lemme guess, he had 75d and hit his non-diamond straight. or better yet, caught a 5?

fwiw, i wouldn't have put in the 3rd bet; his c/r was small, almost 2k in the pot and only 900 more to you, i'd just call getting such a great price.

...I dont play at these stakes but if you know you are going to call an allin bet if he makes it why not just push/ raise more yourself instead of going to $4500?
