I have never played live, I don't see it as a big deal. Online is far more convenient, you can play whenever you like (so long as you have an internet connection of course), and you don't have to breathe second hand smoke or get abuse from angry players.

For some strange reason that doesn't put me off sampling it in the future though

I asked 12 people this question, and they all told me they wouldn't want to play in those crooked live games.

I only did once. There was only one table going and I didn't like it.

Intend to try again at one of the Indian casinos in my area.

I've never player poker in a B&M and I doubt if I'd like a B&M game if you have to handle cards. A few times I've played blackjack where you had to got to hold the cards and the freaking dealers were nonlinear about don't bend the card, don't hold it like that, etc. etc.

I love having a machine turn the cards for me Online rules in my book...

I played micros online, and ventured into my casino for the first time late Jan. this year. Unfortunately, the smallest game they have is $2 Manila, a popular Aussie game, but I wasn't going to play a game I didn't know. I've bought into 4/8 Holdem 3 times, Up about 20 bucks for my 3 short sessions. I'm a student, so I have no money to play poker unfortunately. Plus they have a 10% rake...I'll stick to online play for now I think.

Although I have played thousands of more hands online than in a B&M room I enjoy playing in B&M more. I find that my concentration is much better, and I enjoy actually being in the environment (the dealers, other players, seeing others). It is a treat for me to be able to play B&M.

For pure profit, internet is much better if only because the rakes tend to be better, no toking of dealers, and many many many more hands per hour. And also I don't have to drive an hour and a half home after playing for 15 hours....
