Re: An Interesting WSOP scenario...
Why even enter the tournament if you're going to try to lose. Because that's what folding here is - trying to lose.

Re: An Interesting WSOP scenario...
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that maybe you're not the best player at the table...
It's not a guess. |

When you've got a few gold bracelets I'll consider you an authority. Just kidding. But no really.

Re: An Interesting WSOP scenario...
I push in faster than something that pushes very quickly.
If I win, I've got double the chips of my (superior) competitors, right at the first hand. That's enormous. If I lose, I'll go play down to the strip and play 15/30 at the Bellagio, and god help anybody who tries to tell me a bad beat story. |

The Final Answer
It is indisputably correct to call on the first hand with pocket aces.
Here is Why... You will see after reading this link that saving your time is more valuable than a first place check from Binions. |

Joining this late, a point to add...
I haven't read all the posts, so maybe someone has already mentioned this...
First of all, this is an easy call no matter who is at the table. Secondly, if you are the best player at the table, or one of, just think what you can do for yourself having double the amount of chips compared to everyone else. My oh my you can have some fun with your superior skills and superior chip stack. I play to win. This is exactly the kind of start I'd dream of. |

You\'re All Wrong
See, the first thing you do is you turn your aces face up on the table. Then you drum your fingers on the table, pretend that you're thinking. Then you spend ten seconds or so watching the other guy squirm.
THEN you push the chips into the pot. So. This friend you're debating it with. Where does he play, and is there a seat open there? 'hoof |

Doesn't exposing your hand muck it?
