1) Play 15k hands at 5/10 Ultimatebet with a decent win rate
2) Stop my moronic play when I am tired.
3) Maybe find a way to open a rake back account at Party.
4) Preparing to play 10/20 permanently (have just played around 5k hands)
5) Start posting some hands

1. Don't fail out of college because of poker, it would be very sad.
2. Only play 2 tables, 3 if I am feeling frisky.
3. Stay at 2/4
4. Lose 10 pounds
5. Actually study my game and look for leaks.
6. Poker is hard, don't be lazy about it.
7. Run good

1 and 7 are the most important.

I played much better than ever before when I stopped using MSN and browsing 2+2 while playing my 2 tables. Lately I've gotten away from that so I'm going to try to go all month and play with little to no distractions. Also, I should be reviewing my sessions much more often.

And to Naphand: This goals post allows players to see what alot of posters feel are their biggest leaks and through that we can look more deeply at our own game. Maybe even at things that we hadn't thought of before. As a strategy forum we need to be concerned not only with how to play in specific spots but also broader things like slowing/calming down like rory said, trying to avoid tilt, or bad play due to distractions. Becuase of the nature of shorthanded play these things do belong in this forum and not the psych forum, since these factors can affect us much differently than most of 2+2. If you want to improve the forum please start posting more again.

i think youre being ridiculous naphand. youre taking an original opinion of yours and bloating it into a large scale arguement just so that you can win it.

ive never really taken an interest in these goals posts but i thought i would this time as i have become a hush regular whereas in the past i have not. i decided not to list how much money i want to make, or how much i should make per hour like some people here because that would only be a bragging post.

instead i listed some goals that arent too related to internet poker because internet poker isnt as high as a priority for me this month as it is for others.

i think listing nonpoker goal posts are great for threads like this. we all get a chance to learn about each other from a scope other than our poker abilities. i think it keeps the forum friendly and personal. this thread only takes place once a month so what harm does it do?

I am seldom posting but i spend MUCH time in the forums every day. Especially HUSH.

1) Make a post to thank the 2+2 and in particular the HUSH community for all that they have done for me (without even knowing). Also to make special note to specific players who have helped me the most (probably through PMs).

2) I have started 10/20 SH. I hope i manage to stay there at least (cause i dont think my current WR is maintanable).

3) Find a hand that i decide its worthy to post. This will be my first posted hand so - you understand - it must be special.

4) Find the meaning of life. My life that is..

The above are in order of probability of happening.
