Default Other than a really crappy example of how to play a nut flush in NL...

what did everyone think of Tilt #2?

(They did all of the NL players a favor with that hand- easy, cheap suckout opportunities for everyone!)

So, episode 2 was about making all of the characters sympathetic (except the evil casino-connected personnel, of course)?

Anyone else think the cop's wife is filing divorce papers over her "gambling-addicted" husband by now?

I did enjoy the hotshot leading with his wanker and the girl chopping it off on the quad board.

20:1 that isn't the Matador's daughter.

I have to admit - while it's not great TV, it was a huge improvement over the first episode. And if it turns into a mediocre show that involves poker, that's enough to keep my interest.

I appreciated the fact that the entire poker industry wasn't portrayed as crooked this time around.

If she's not Matadors daughter, how come she got turned down for the stripping job? Maybe Matador has other ownage on her? Maybe the writers haven't decided yet?

I put the odds more like 2:1 she's not really his daughter. Or, more precisely, 2:1 the writers won't throw that plot twist in in season #1...

I'm surprised no one has commented on Matadors line about "2 cards out of 48 could beat me, and he hit them runner-runner" (or something like that). Someone did the math, cuz pretty-boy's response about the odds being 989-1 is right, but obviously it's for 2 out of 45, not 2 out of 48. I thought they had Negraneau and TJ proofing the script for poker errors, but I'd expect them to catch that.

I thought it was Sidel proofing... TJ and Daniel simply made a cameo.

Could be. Whoever it is, any of those names should've caught that error in the script though. Only thing I can figure is if the script actually said 45, the actor spoke the wrong number during the shoot, and either no one caught the error, or there were worse mistakes (from the producers perspective, not necessarily the perspective of a poker player) in all the other shoots of the scene.

In any case, it gave me something to be nerdy about.
