That's funny because:

a) it sounds like a self-glorifying "look at me and my big hands and how well I played them" thread.

b) the way you played the first hand makes me picture you as a "learned from 'Live at the Bike' player."

c) if you're trying to show that you can win by "nutpeddling," you've done a poor job by posting a hand where you open limped with JTo, a marginal holding, out of position.

[/ QUOTE ]

a) ok, i probably should have explained myself the first time around, but I really don't understand the fascination with attacking people on this forum. If you can't say anything nice, at least says something constructive

b) I don't know what that means, but I would argue that in some respects I play to the level of my competition. I can make plays that clearly indicate I have a big hand and still get paid off at NL50, so I don't see why that should change

c) First, read the whole damn sentence. Second, there are a lot worse things than limping JTo when I have 300bb in my stack. (Like calling off all your money with TPBK with four cards to a straight on the board)

Once again I make the point that I am not good at poker, just that my opponents are significantly worse, which allows me to be a winning player.

Nice table selection ! You got attacked becuase no one appreciates posts that that exude superiority and extreme confidence aimed at "teaching people" that are strategically or fundamentally incorrect- and thus are potentially destructive to the boards. That is because they
1: detract from serious posts where people want help
2: may mislead newcomers into doing the wrong things.

We don't receive these things positively because well, they're not welcome. The exception is if you have idiosyncracy credits due to heavily contributing in the past. I still don't think this really had any real constructive value to anyone on this board.

If I was to show a hand I thought I played well, I would show this one...

Villain was 58/10
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter

UTG+1 ($60.60)
UTG+2 ($94.95)
MP1 ($54.75)
MP2 ($55)
MP3 ($33.24)
Hero ($58.85)
Button ($48.25)
SB ($20.50)
BB ($49.50)
UTG ($73.45)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
6 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, Button calls $1.75, 1 fold, BB calls $1.25.

Flop: ($5.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4, Button calls $4, BB folds.

Turn: ($13.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

River: ($13.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $15, Hero calls $15.

Final Pot: $43.50
Villain shows [ Tc, 9s ] a pair of aces.
Hero shows [ Jd, Jc ] two pairs, aces and jacks.
Hero wins $41.35 from the main pot with two pairs, aces and jacks.

Now flame me for using the bet pot button or being a calling station or whatever...

Vilain's line is REALLY fishy. I think 0% at your level of villains check behind there with an Ace w/out the boat. If he had a queen he would bet less on river. Looks either like a boat or air to me, and actually not a horrible river call.
