Default They do comp for the Chi. Steak house

What do you mean they dont comp for Chi.Steak House? Maybe not the poker brush or the floor. But if you act like your playing BlackJack for more then 25 a hand no prob.

Just go to a BJ table(full one) buy in for say 500 in green and when the person carrying the clip board looks throw a green up there. When he/she is not looking throw a red or two reds up. Continue for 10mins or so, tell the pitboss you and the Misses are thinking about the Sunday brunch at the Steak House and bam all yours, on the weekdays there ususally so empty its even easier to get comped.

I once played BJ there for two hrs. 50 a hand. For a year after that I dinner for two at once a week at CHI. steak house. Never played again. They actually apolgized to me when the host said no more free steaks

Tunica has the best comp system for smaller limit players in the world. Try getting a steak in AC, you have to break someones leg just to get a hotdog comp up there.

As for the best buffet I like the gold strikes free hotdogs and finger sandwichs they setup in the pokerroom But all in all the best true buffet is at the grand.

Default The Shoe Sanck Bar

Man I miss Tunica,(as you might see by all the responce to this one post) I like the Cajun shrimp and fries from the snack bar. This may sound wierd but they use to have liver yummmy. Nothing like poker on the Mississippi with a basket of fried livers again yummmy.

In Tunica - Horseshoe buffet is easily the best.
Gold Strike buffet is decent but not worth going out of your way for.
Grand buffet does NOT impress me.

[/ QUOTE ]

I like the Grand buffet better than the Goldstrike. However, the variance is high with the Grand buffet - I've had a couple of sub-par experiences there.

Also, the Grand will comp you at the sports bar (which is pretty decent) and bring your burger to the table, though sometimes they're too busy to run it for you.

I love talking to poker players about non-poker topics. What better way to complement a high-variance low-limit game than with a high-variance buffet?

It's not hard to be comped at the Horseshoe's buffet, which is the best of the casinos that have poker rooms. It just takes 2 hours of play. And they'll comp a guest as well. The Horseshoe's poker room is great, in that they'll not only order for you as mentioned previously but they'll bring it to your table so you don't have to get up from the game. The regular breakfast plate is great and the philly cheesesteak from the snack bar is awesome.
Gold Strike's Atrium Cafe is a good place to unwind, same kind of comp rules as the Horseshoe.
Make sure you make reservations at Jack Binion's Steakhouse, or you won't get to eat there when you want.

If you like fried stuff, pickles, tomatos, catfish, etc, go to the Hollywood which is just up the road. Pretty tasty and they have some decent entertainment. Mark Cohn actually mentions it in his 'Walking in Memphis' song.

It's good, but that's the first time I've ever heard that the service is excellent.
