Default Why do you people insist on crying about Foxwoods?

Small rant on Foxwoods complainers. Flame if you wish. But READ the whole thing before you go off half cocked like the norm of these forums.

I find it funny, I read down the threads and almost 1/4 of them are whining and bitching about something to do with Foxwoods. STOP F'ing going there then!! It hasn't changed in the past 8 years, what makes you people think it will change any time in the future?

They are the only game in town, and they know it. 3 hour wait lists with seats open everywhere...sure...why, cuz we're the ONLY GAME IN TOWN! muahahah

Why do they do it this way you might ask....because there are blackjack, roulette, craps, and carnival games right outside the poker room that they actually make money off of! Everyone wonders why their dealers aren't the greatest. But you all know the answers and yet keep asking the same questions over and over.

I used to play there when I was in the NE. But ever since their management threatened to toss me just because I said the word $hit one time and someone walked right past us yelling F this F that at the top of their lungs and nothing happened to him, I had decided to never play there again.

i dont play at foxwoods, but you answered your own question...you asked why people went there if they were going to bitch, and then you go on to say that theyre the only game in town...your answer: people go there because its the only place they can go...

What choice does this leave then, for those of us who must get our live fix? I consider Foxwoods poker a necessary evil.

LoL, I know I answered my own question. Just pointing it out for everyone else

You should all move to Cal or NV to play poker, simple as that.

It hasnt been this way for 8 years. It's gotten much worse in the last year, for obvious reasons.

It's gotten worse since at least when Mohegan closed their room. This I can attest to. Several of my friends work there as dealers/supervisors in the casino. Awhile back they were told..."you are going to deal poker and have no choice in the matter".

I live in NYC so AC or Foxwoods are same distance to me. I went to the Borgata the other day and there was a 75-100 waiting list for both 1/2 and 2/5 NL. I go to Foxwoods the next day and I'm able to get on the 5/5 NL table in about 15-20 minutes. It was a 2.5 hour wait at Borgata and even then I had to "cheat" .

I sure don't think it'd hurt things a bit if Foxwoods had some competition again.

Convince Mohegan to re-open their poker room. I used to like that room, actually (although some of the dealers they had for the low limit games were awful).

It's already been announced that the next phase of Mohegan Sun expansion is supposed to include a poker room. They admit they made a mistake during the pre-WPT/WSOP boom when they closed it citing that there wasn't enough of a market in New England. 4 years ago, there was hardly a wait list at all. Do they still write everything in marker on a plastic white board that is hella confusing to read?
