Hello my 2+2 mentors,

Have you ever felt like you dropped into a pleasure palace?


About once every 2 months a good game of *really* stupid players shows up.
When you're playing in that game you can expect 15bb/100 easy.
This is the story of how I found myself in such a game and screwed it up.

I feel I screwed this hand up.

I really need a leson in pot size control.

What do you do with 4 cold calls?

There's no rule that says you have to reraise AK from the blinds.

If you are gonna reraise preflop you gotta boom it. Atleast the pot size.

To be honest,

I don't know what to do. 3bb raise and 4 cold calls.

I'm sure there are lots of donk dead money bets in there, just look at the vp$ip/pfr of the callers. So if I'm ahead I want to punish the loose callers.

But I don't know if I'm behind or not.

If I reraise to $120 I guess it pot comits most of them. But then I throw up if the big stack pushes.

Hi Derick. Reraising preflop was the right move in this hand, the pot is big already, and a lot of players are in the pot with weak hands. You need to reraise it more though, unless you want to start the calling wave that occured here. Make it 120 or more. Then you have a totally different situation if there is a flop, if you have one or two opponents I would consider checking. They're so lag they are likely to make a stab with a hand not even they would call with. And I doubt any of them are capable of getting away from an ace they got there with.

In my opinion you have an easy call if big stack pushes. You may not be ahead but you have the pot odds easily since he will very rarely have AA or KK.
