Interesting 15-30 hand with 64s from the SB.
Played this hand live 8AM yesterday morning. The fact that it left some players with a blank stare on their face made me think it was interesting. I've been at the table for an hour and have no other knowledge of the players.
UTG open raises. He's decent, but ABC and not difficult to play against. An EP fool coldcalls, a seemingly TAG type colcalls in CO, I call in the SB with the 64h and BB calls. 5 to the flop for 2 bets each. Flop 6d 5x 2d. Checked to UTG raiser who bets, folded to TAG who raises, I now 3 bet, UTG folds, TAG calls. Turn Qs. I bet, call. River Kx. I check, check. I say "I have a 6." |

Re: Interesting 15-30 hand with 64s from the SB.
I don't think the PF call is too bad -- the small blind is 2/3 of the BB, so it's close to the odds he'd be getting from the BB. A small suited one-gapper plays okay in this situation. I'd probably fold, but I don't think it's too bad a call. At 5/10 or 3/6 where the SB is much smaller (2/5 or 1/3) it would be a poor call.

I fold preflop. [/ QUOTE ] It cost me $20 more to call, getting 6.5-1 in what will probably be a 5 way $150 pot with the BB in. I think it's an easy call. I think it has 15% equity in a 5 way pot that wasn't 3 bet. This is the type of hand that makes you shake your head when you miss with AKo. Anyway, the TAG shook his head and mumbled about how many cards could have come off for him to win. I guess he had diamond overs and UTG AK-AQo. MHWG |

Just a quick question, we're checking the river with the intention of folding?

I fold preflop. [/ QUOTE ] I think it's fine in a 2/3 blind structure. |

I would probably just turn my cards over. [/ QUOTE ] I always roll first when it's my turn and usually say what I have. It's funny, I tried to go the silent route at the table, but it's not my natural personality. I get along real well with the other players and it makes for an enjoyable game. It's a personal preference. A good example was a hand Thurs. night where I was the BB and was in an unraised 3 way pot with SB, me and UTG sitting on my left. The flop came KKx. Checked to UTG who bet, SB folded, I smile at him saying "I know you missed that flop" and fold. UTG smiles and says "Missed it huh" and rolls quad K's. We all bust out laughing. Nice, friendly way to learn about people and how they play. |
