Default sports arb

I am looking for some help in arbitrage in sports betting. If someone could help me or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. PM is fine or through this board.

If you are curious about the exact situation please PM me. I know there is a huge disconnect but want to know the exact way to make it work. Thanks.

Running with Mark Cuban's hedge fund idea?

I read recently that someone actually did take his idea from his blog last year and start one up. Cuban said he didn't know who or care, though, and had given up on the idea. I keep meaning to google around and figure out the outfit, but never seem to get around to it.

was cuban arb though? or was he just going to make bets? i think he found out the market isn't that liquid and there's lot of juice.

forbes had an article maybe late 80's early 90's about a guy in vegas who arb'ed spreads on games (i.e. play lakers in chicago, play bulls in L.A., and try for double win in the middle)

but i have to figure that online is now the standard. are there still major bookies at your local bar? i don't know. but i think the arb was from a very localized betting market.

Um, that's called a middle and is very commonly done by sharps. So is arbing.

my sense is it was more common years ago when chicago and las vegas might have fairly different spreads... where are you going to find vastly different spreads now? and you are fighting the juice all the time. so it's not really arb.
