Default R & A - do you accept 50% coinflip 15minutes in tournament ?

Ok you have 1500 starting chips. You bought additional 1500 right at the beginning (correct ?). Now you hav 3000 and its 15minutes into tournament (rebuys allowed for an hour). Somebody offers you 50/50 coinflip for all your chips. Do you accept ? If yes what do you do after losing ? (rebuy or enter another tourney ?).

Best wishes

If I'm getting better than 1 to 1 odds, I call. If not, I fold. Pretty basic. If I lose, I double rebuy. And if that's not in my budget I would play in a different tourney.

I'll take the skinny end of 40/60 during the rebuy period for all my chips.

If I lose, I rebuy back up to 3000.

I usually buget 8ish buyins or so.

I always do the same but I wonder how good it can be. This question may be stated as follows (and its probably better way to state it): "How many chips would buy if you were only player in the tourney allowed to rebuy as many times as you wish".

best wishes

That would be dependent on:

1) number of players
2) payout schedule
3) starting stacks
4) blind level schedule

I'm sure that somewhere in there, with a normal payout schedule, it would come somewhere close to where you have 5% of all chips in play....air math, forgive if I'm off.

I think the more interesting question is, if you play somewhere where the rebuy or the addon or both were at a discount (I.e., 1/2 buyin gets you the full amount of your initial buy in and a full rebuy gets you 2x your initial stack - this is common in live games near me) then how much the worst of it are you willing to take to risk doubling up.
