Default Huge pot, I just call it down with my med. pair

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, MP calls, CO raises, 1 fold, Hero calls, BB 3-bets, UTG calls, MP calls, CO caps, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG calls, MP calls.

Flop: (20 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, MP calls, CO calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (12.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG folds, MP folds, CO calls, Hero calls.

River: (15.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, CO calls $4 (All-In), Hero calls.

Final Pot: 18.50 BB

2nd hand of the round. Anyone do anything different?
Preflop: Standard I think
Flop: Odds to hit my set
Turn: The jack pairing is a good card, theres a possibility I'm against high cards, and both villains barely have enough money for one river bet.
River: Turn committed me to a river call. Again, an excellent card.

I think you should fold the turn. You're essentially hoping BB has A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Wait, were they both stacking off?

I also didn't see it was short-handed. Sorry about that.

Not sure you played it badly at all.

He could have plenty of AK's or 77. What makes you think he's a decent player?

Fold the turn for one bet in a big pot?

OK, I'm first to reply and i'm a donkey, so wait till good people come along here and tell you what to do!

Personally, once the preflop cap comes, I'm looking for a way to get out of this hand, trouble is, i'm not sure when it is, except after the preflop cap (and I don't know enough about 6 handed to know what capping standards are there). At this point I think there's a great chance my 88 is facing both an overpair and big OC's.

Flop odds are right to call, same for turn. Maybe i'd find the guts to fold for one beto on river, but damn, 1 bet for 20.

for my hand reading skills- BB is AJ/KJs, CO is 10's.. am I right?
