We hate gay marriage so much, we\'re willing to be redundant about it.
Despite having a ban on gay marriage already in place here in Texas, we are nevertheless voting on another amendment to the Constitution that does the same thing, only strengthening and broadening the ban to include any legal contracts.

Judges can overturn laws. They can't overturn amendments (unless they violate the US Constitution).
If you don't believe me, look at Massachusetts. |

You said it was redundant. But if they are changing the law (strengthening it) then it isn't really redundant, now is it?

Right...but it's not just an expansion of that first law. It actually re-bans gay marriage, as if the first law doesn't exist, rather than acting supplementally to it.
It really doesn't matter...the thing's going to pass in a landslide, anyway. |

For all the crap I've given California over the years -- Texas is just as bad.
