in short.. no. in long.. no. basically, i played hard for a week, maintained about a 1.2% roi, and ended up making more than double in rakeback. had a 5k swing every other day, and wasnt at all happy with my performance.
i just got back in town from hangin out with the lady friend, and im feeling a bit refreshed and ready to pound away some sngs. as of the last 2 weeks, the 215s have been getting rather tough, as a LOT of 2+2 8 tablers have been hitting them hard.. i am currently looking for softer waters, as i have never been a huge fan of playing in tough games where my return will be low.. unless playing live of course and ill play anybody for however much money i have on me.. online i like to be a bot, and dont like to have to think. when you play against other strategically sound players, you have to make tricky adjustments to get them to make errors. this takes a CONSIDERABLE amount of thought and effort when 8 tabling, and frankly, isnt worth the effort. over the next few days, i will be trying to figure out what it is i want to play. its still possible ill hit 20k in the next, oh, 8 days or so, but i wouldnt count on it too hard. im probably not going to be going crazy on the 215s.. i may be hitting the 210s and 520s HU.. as they have always been good to me.. and tilt up and do a 5k or 2, get on a heater, and hit my 20k.. or ill play a shat ton of multis. who knows. i like to jump around in games so i can play everything at a level i feel comfortable and able to compete at. basically, this whole rant is saying that i did NOT reach my goal.. i overestimated my ability to deal with variance. i forgot how bad and brutal the swings can be when yer roi is significantly lower than you are used to. i dont like it. period. my bankroll isnt in danger at the 215s, im still just a pussy that doesnt like dealing with an 8k loss being relatively standard. of course.. casino games are different.. if only i could look at online poker more like casino gambling.. then i wouldnt care about swings.. actually no, i shouldnt.. i would go broke in 2 days playing 5ks on stars. (raptor is in a state of confusion right now.. from lack of sleep and too much partying the last couple days.. ignore him completely. if you got this far.. i envy you) holla
