It might be a mistake, but I call here, very, very often. 1/2 the size of the blinds, and I probably fold.

I usually have called in the past here. But after reading this forum, wouldn't this be one of those "Why risk all your chips on a coinflip" situation? Or do you not expect this to be a coinflip?

You should call here I think.
Yes there are two short stacks but it's still 6-handed.
Yes you still have FE if you fold but you drop down from being 2nd in chips to being 4th, losing a big chunk of your stack.
Most importantly, your opponent's range is likely to be very wide here. He's on the button with only 5xBB!

you lose this, you are out basically of the tournament
at this point, you don't want to clash with another big stack with a hand like AQ
i would give up the little +ev here - assuming your opponent pushes AT+, KQ+, pp
