You have the second nut flush. He does not have a set. Pump the pot.

Why only raise to 2000 on the flop? It's not going to get him out-- were you just trying to take the lead and see it to the river cheaply? What was your plan in that case?

He COULD have the Ah, but I'm not sure-- AK makes no sense with the flop action; AQ and AJ are remote possibilities. He could also have a decent pocket pair with a heart, more likely JJ than TT or 99.
He could also have KK if he likes to min-bet flopped sets to induce action. (In this case the flush would have scared him, but the river full induces him to value bet.)
I probably call since I'm not really sure if I'm ahead or behind-- and he still might be able to fold to a push if I am ahead-- but the aggressive play would be to push (especially since you've already put so much of your stack in). I actually think the PP with a heart is the most likely scenario here.
I don't think you fold, in any case. I'm curious as to the result.

Default Result (Vote First - Then Read This)

I called. He had Ace Jack, no heart.

My 2,000 on the flop was me just sorta trying to see what's going on. I mean, it turns out my queen kicker had me in the lead the whole hand. I was just sorta trying to figure out what was going on here, and I wanted to get the BB out of the hand so I could make things a little more managable - hense the raise. (I didn't see folding as an option at that point with the 10:1 odds).

Thanks for the anaylysis, nath. And in my other thread too. I appreciate it.

Side note: I posted this because a friend watched me make the call and after my opponent showed his hand, went ape [censored] about why I didn't raise, and how much I suck, and how much bigger his bankroll is than mine, etc, etc. I just was curious if I was out of my mind for not raising here, which it appears that possibly, I'm not. Thanks.

Given his hand, if you raise, he's not calling anyway.

If i didn't know his hand...If you raise and he calls, you could very well be beaten by the ace of hearts who was weary of the full house possibility....I just dont see a lower heart calling a river raise here. If you raise and are re-raised you are most certainly beat adn just threw away more chips. I like just calling here.

i'm with trumpman... you dont raise into hands that will only call you if they're better.

(unless you get better hands to fold of course)

No sweat. A chance to help someone else is a chance to work on my hand analysis. Win-win.

No value in raising + hand likely good = easy call.
