Default AKs hand...flop flush....

but....it doesnt go as planned, yes i wanted to bet the turn but i was going to check raise

and i was worried about straight flush but that wasnt gonna stop me

Preflop: Peach is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP2 calls, Peach raises, 1 fold, Button calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls.

Flop: (7.40 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
MP2 checks, Peach checks, Button bets, MP2 calls, Peach calls.

Turn: (5.20 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
MP2 checks, Peach checks, Button checks.

River: (5.20 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
MP2 checks, Peach bets, Button raises, MP2 folds, Peach 3-bets, Button caps, Peach calls.

Final Pot: 13.20 BB

i played the last street that way b/c ive played with the button alot...and he would be super aggressive on ANY club at that point and didnt give him credit for anything that would take my hand...

i went all wrong...and knew it before i did it

If you check this flop, it should be with the intent of c/r it. waiting till the turn on this kind of board usually doesnt work, cuz lots of turn card can come that will kill ure action (as is the case here). I think its just better to go ahead and bet, and hope someone has a draw or some crappy 2 pair and raises.

You have ALL the good cards on the turn, so being able to pull of the checkraise is dubious at best.

On the river, I think you can discount him having the flush, cuz he didnt bet the turn, and there are 4 clubs on board so he is bound to be scared of you, obviosly isnt, so I ask myself why. I prolly wouldnt have 3 bet. but you played with the guy so you know best in this situation. But I think playing the rest of the hand the way you did put you in a tough spot on the river.

The flop and turn are absolutely attrocious. I'll assume you know why the flop check sucks, so I won't go into that. Planning to check raise the turn is risky business. Since you hold the ace and the king of the frush suit, there really aren't a lot of hands that the button can bet.

As for the river, I see your read but I don't believe that its true. Why would anyone be checking through the turn with a flush and then cap the river? It just doesn't make any sense.
