Re: Bellagio final 6 and other finishers
Hi Fish:
Because of some home remodeling, I wasn't able to get down to The Bellagio as much as I wanted to while the tournament was going on. But I did make it down there a few nights. Not only were the tourneys very well run, but the poker room was going great guns with games at all levels and many different forms of poker being played. For those who missed the tournament, I suspect that next year will be even better. Thanks for the reports. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Bellagio final 6 and other finishers
Mason,
It was nice to come over and check 2+2 out....been quite a while since I have been here. I knew that your readers would enjoy the updates and I enjoyed my visit. I will be back! Also, I hope to catch you and David at the Mirage next Friday. The Bellagio did a great job hosting this event and I am headed down now for the final table. Of all of the WPT events, I am guessing that this one will have the best poker content. Jan Fisher Card Player Cruises Bes |

Re: Bellagio final 6 and other finishers-Question for Mason
Mason, I don't see your name in a lot of the tournament lineups, whereas I do see Sklanksy's. I'm curious; do you have a differing opinion from Dave's about tournament's in general? Do you play in a lot of (live) tournaments? [img]/forums/images/icons/spade.gif[/img]

Re: Bellagio final 6 and other finishers-Question for Mason
Hi electric2:
I virtually never play a tournament. Part of the reason is that I'm the one who runs Two Plus Two on a daily basis and that takes up much of my time. Part of the reason also is that I just enjoy sitting in a regular game. However, I keep saying that some time in the future I'll start playing a few tournaments, so you never know. One thing you need to realize is that a good tournament is also a gathering of poker players. Thus you can go to a tournament, play non-stop poker, never play in a tournament event, and it can still be a great experience. That's certainly the way The Bellagio was the last two weeks. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Bellagio final 6 and other finishers-Question for Mason
I was curious if there was a more central theme to you not particpiating in the tourneys themselves. Is it because you can make more money sitting in a cash game vs 6-10 hours in a tournament and potentially making zero? Thanks for the insight, Mason. |

Re: mason????..addition to family????
Hi Scalf:
No. We had a leak inside the bathroom wall. It had already been repaired twice, but neither job solved the problem. This time we had to tear everything out, and while we're at it decided to just remodel the whole room. Best wishes, Mason |
