Very early on table (3 hands in or so). No reads on players in this pot. I thought my flop re-raise would induce a free river card. When it didn't, I folded.

Did I do the right thing? Only one overcard and minimal flush threat.

My experience with this is the fish usually aren't tricky and bet out with good hands so I would give him credit for a Jack. I think it's a good fold and well played. However, if checked to you on the turn do you take the free card or bet again?

I would play the flop the same way. On the turn I'd give UTG credit for the jacks and fold.
