Default Re: TheBong\'s Quest - The Fresh Start!

OK, an absolutely great session after going back to the full ring tables. Which is pretty weird because I had my PokerTracker stop requesting HH on me (I had to shut party down and forgot to reset the autorequester) and I lost like 4 hours of HH. I started a new DB (hopefully no more problems or errors) and posted a great win the rest of the night. I feel completely comfortable back in the full rings too, seems that my strong hands are still getting the action they deserve, but I haven't seen any of the CRAZY plays you'll sometimes see in this 6 max. No time during the rest of the session after I went to the full rings did I come out of a pot that I'd lost going "I can't believe I lost that!", I was coming out going "NH".

Yes, you want to play weak opponents. These opponents were still weak, but their starting hand selection preflop seemed considerably better, yet they still played badly postflop. Maybe I just got lucky and picked the right tables? Anyways I felt this to be an asset to me as I consider the best part of my game postflop play.

Anyways, I'll pull a couple of hands I lost out of the DB for discussion, and I'll post a fun one too. I don't really know what type of hands you guys want to see, but I'll post those, and I'll also post the current quest stats in the next post.

Thanks for reading.

Default What might you have done differently?

Should I have laid this down? I honestly read the player in question for AKd, I'll let you know that going in. I think I probably should have laid this down, but it' a tough board to lay it down to. Thanks for any and all constructive opinions.

I don't think you did anything wrong. At this level you will be ahead more times than behind in this situation. People go in all the time with TPTK or on a draw as you thought he had.

good job Bong, keep it up. I envy whoever staked you.

At NL25 I don't think you can lay that down, the players are just that bad.

by the way, use this hand converter whenever you post a hand

Thanks for the link, I couldn't edit the first HH in time, but I'll use it everytime from now on. Was wondering how people could do all that without ticking themselves off.

I didn't think I could lay it down either, especially because I had been running very well and had a big stack. Making the push didn't hurt me, if he has the set he has the set. I'm just thinking that normally in this game there's too many possible hands he can have here that I am still ahead of (and my read told me AK or AQd - i was just wrong).

Thanks for your input, though!

I'm not ripping on anyone, but my point was that there have been way too many quests, and nearly all of them were way more interesting than yours. Furthermore, you continue to cross-post this in multiple forums, as if you have the entire board captivated.

Do a search, I don't see it cross-posted, do you?

Stop being a dick, everyone has a right to post here. Nobody's forcing you to read his threads and crap in them.

Um, excuse me but I've ONLY posted this in General Texas. I also made it a point to ask other posters where the correct forum for a post of this nature is, and this is where they've led me. You're misinformed if you think I've posted this or any thread of its type in any other forum (although it definitely would also be on-topic for Small-Stakes No-Limit I would assume).

Also, I've recieved private messages from several posters thinking that my quest was very original. For one they've said that almost all the quest posts you'll see - they are ALL LIMIT. This is a NL Quest.

Besides, you're obviously looking for something to read - this is the 2nd time you've read this. Either you're just post-boosting, or you're just trying to come off as a complete [censored]. If you don't like my stuff, don't read it. There are others here who ARE reading it, and shouldn't have to sift through posts of your drivel.
