Re: TT vs UTG raise to give up on the river.

[ QUOTE ] Checking is bad. I want him to raise hands I am ahead of. And free cards suck. [/ QUOTE ] So you advocate calling the river bet or was Hero correct to fold the river? I think this is a value-check opportunity and not a value-bet opportunity. I'm curious as to what other posters say because I think this is pretty interesting. [/ QUOTE ] I would call any non ace river. I think we can easily fold once this ace drops though. |

Re: TT vs UTG raise to give up on the river.
These are my thoughts on the situation.
Villian could have 77 x6 88 x6 99 x6 TT x1 which means 19 ways to win JJ x6 AK x6 AQ x12 AJ x12 ATs x2 which means 38 ways to lose All of these hands could be played this way. Although Ak will most likely cap. We are getting better than 2:1 odds for win/loss ratio and we only need to be ahead 1:9 times. Yet, for some reason I think this is an easy fold. So where is my math off? |

Re: TT vs UTG raise to give up on the river.
New version assuming villian will only raise turn if he has a heart.
Villian could have 7h7x x3 8h8x x3 9h9x x3 which means 9 ways to win JhJx x3 AK x6 AhQx x4 AxQh x3 AhJx x4 AxJh x3 AhTh x1 24 ways to lose still better than 3:1 |

you think that range of hands raises the turn and bets the non heart ace on the river?
