sounds like you are receiving interferance from another 2.4 Mhz device (like a neighbors cordless phone, or another router). Even though these things are channelized they just can't take another device being too close.

Well, 4 of my neighbors also have wireless routers, so maybe. Anything I can do about that? Or am I kinda screwed if thats the case?

Start-> Run -> Regedit

File -> Export -> Save all as....

Should get you on your way.

I'm going to wait a while on the registry thing. Scares me too much.

Anyone else any advice?

I was having a bunch o problems with mine when I got a new laptop. Fixed all of it by updating the firmware on my router. Mine is the Linksys WRT54G. No problems since.
