Default 10/20 AJs

First hand back at poker after a 2 month hiatus while moving. 3rd hand at the table, watched 2 hands prior. BB was a maniac. Any raised pot he would 3-bet with no standards. No reads on anyone else.

I'm on the button with the AJ of clubs. All folded to me, I raise. SB calls. BB 3-bets, I cap, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop is 996 with 2 clubs.

Checked to me, I bet, both called.

Turn is A

Checked to me, I bet, SB raises, BB 3-bets, I fold.

Good laydown or obvious cap?

wow, i hate this. you have top pair + nut flush draw and fold in a large pot on the turn?

SB's raise is a concern, however he is too unknown for me to think i'm drawing dead to a boat. most likely he has a 9 or maybe picked up on ace. BB's 3-bet doesn't seem to mean much, you need to at least see the river here.

Easy call on turn. If BB is a maniac, and bets everything, how much credit can you give him for the 3 bet here.

I count 13.5 BBs in the pot when it is two to you following the turn 3-bet. Seems like a horrendous fold holding the nut flush draw (as well as TP) even though the board is paired. Look at SBs action and BBs action/read -- how often is your nut flush draw dead here? How often do you hold the best hand or a hand with outs other than the flush?

Ugh, thats everything I wanted to hear. After making this post and giving it a lot of thought I'm in complete agreement with all of you. And I didn't think I would get rusty after my break.

I actually counted 15BB in the pot after BB's 3-bet and I figure I had 11 outs(2 aces and 9 clubs)to win. Capping would have given me almost 8:1 and I had position.

call, no reason to cap. you still have outs and position for the river.
