Think about the SB. You open raised the button and he will give you credit for a legit steal hand if he knows that the BB will 3-bet light. He wont put you sqaurely on a good ace for sure. He probably has an ace and is raising to "protect" his hand, or just trying to knock out the BB. If the BB 3-bets light pf, theres no reason he wouldnt do it postflop also. I'd call the turn 3-bet and the river bet, unless MAYBE it's two to me and I dont make the flush.

This is an easy call IMO. You have the nut flush draw and even if he has filled up you AREN'T drawing dead because another Ace will give you a bigger full, though it may mean a chop.

Wow a lot of assholey posts. Anyways, I don't think calling was an option as it was getting capped for sure. BTW, SB showed Q9o and BB showed K2 of clubs.

You know, I don't have time to read everyone's hand posts but I looked at yours .

By your logic capping is a clear error because SB will do it for you. It is to your advantage that both opponents stop worrying about you. You want SB to bet the river and put the maniac in the middle. That maximizes your implied odds when you improve and allows you to act last when you don't.

You also don't want the maniac to feel he's caught in a crossfire. He might surprise you and get a clue instead of donating a bunch more money on the river.

This is a terrible assumption to make. What makes you think SB will always cap it? Even if he is always going to cap it, calling is still a better move.

I'm on the button with the AJ of clubs. All folded to me, I raise. SB calls. BB 3-bets, I cap, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop is 996 with 2 clubs.

Checked to me, I bet, both called.

Turn is A

Checked to me, I bet, SB raises, BB 3-bets, I fold.

Good laydown or obvious cap?

[/ QUOTE ]

15 SB's/7.5 BB's in the pot going into the turn. Bet, raise, 3 bet to you. Assume it's capped and all call. 12 more BB's makes it 19.5-4. Almost 5-1 to call the cap.

You have the nut fl draw against what is likely trip 9's. Aside from a club, the A on the turn was the absolute best card for you because it gave you 2 more likely nut outs, in addition to your remaining club outs. No way you can fold with fh outs added to your 4-1 fl draw. You have to call there.
