As I said in an earlier post, I'm sorry to see Damon leave as it leaves a big hole for the Sox to fill but the dude just ain't worth $13 million X 4 so I agree the Sox had to let him get away.

So I'm not mad at the Sox for letting him walk and I'm not mad at Damon for taking the extra $13 million bucks. Most of us would. But what pisses me off is what I read in the paper this morning, the quotes from Damon. "How dould this happen? Can you believe this?"

And he goes on to say that it's Red sox fault that he's gone because their initial offer was for only $27 million for 3 years. WTF, is this guy that [censored] ing naive? It's a negotiation, you dope. Your first offer was $84 million for 7 years. Did you seriously think you would get anything close to that.

Then the Red Sox upped their offer to $ 40 million for 4 years without your side ever countering. Please, just go, take the money and shut the [censored] up.

i never read any of his stuff prior to this. as a matter of fact, i havent read much of anything on that site. i usually just use it for stats, but the contributors seem pretty good.

btw, do you have any old MGL posts/threads etc linked/saved? the search function on BTF sucks manningass.
