Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
So basically, you have a crap bot that could potentially fold AA pre-flop.
And you're jacking the price on cheating. Niiiiice. That's akin to saying it's okay to kill someone if you pay $1000 instead of $100. [ QUOTE ] as we have said all along, pokerbot.com is a business, intent on supplying online poker players with the best bot they can imagine. most of you that have complained about team play will be pleased at the higher price for the team version. winholdem support. Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
jedi,
we understand the motive for good players to attempt to undermine the power of winholdem. your comments are unjustified. you can get winholdem to do far worse than fold AA preflop. so what's your point? i can run my car into a pedestrian, that doesn't mean the car is crap. there is way too much evidence that proves you completely wrong. winholdem support |

You really don\'t get it
[ QUOTE ]
most of you that have complained about team play will be pleased at the higher price for the team version. [/ QUOTE ] You really don't seem to understand that people in this forum can never be "pleased" about anything that assists or promotes team play, which is "cheating". These forums are supposed to be about the theory and understanding of the game. Not about team play. This is CHEATING. Not about programming bots to play poker. People here are trying to improve their own "self-programming". How many times and by how many people must you be flamed before you understand that. You have certainly generated much interest and enthusiam for your product via this forum, albeit NEGATIVE, but perhaps this was your goal. |

Re: PartyPoker Gestapo!
Party has used industrial espionage to probably dissect this program and they have something that detects it within your hard drive. Think about it if people found out that party allowed bots on it the site could become Americas cardroom overnight...........

Re: PartyPoker Gestapo!
Party isn't based out of a banana republic they are based out of a native reserve outside of Montreal.... Sovereign territory that is a no-mans land between the US and Canada.

Re: PartyPoker Gestapo!
Common misconception. Party is only licensed by Kahnawake, and they may run their servers through there, but their corporate offices (and that of parent company Iglobalmedia) are actually in the Dominican Republic.

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
I recently purchased the winholdem pokerbot to see how well the AI played.... well, all I can tell you is that this is the WORSTE AI bot I have ever seen play.
Do NOT waste your money on this HORRIBLE software! Here are two different hand histories so you can all see exactly how it plays: The first hand history is in the default mode: (bot username = PFCMcDermot) ***** Hand History for Game 403556625 ***** 5/10 TexasHTGameTable (Limit) - Thu Feb 19 19:29:37 EST 2004 Table Can''t Lose (Real Money) -- Seat 7 is the button Total number of players : 10 Seat 1: golfnuting ( $164) Seat 2: rsau447423 ( $375) Seat 3: rocketronnie ( $1270.50) Seat 4: supraholic91 ( $505) Seat 5: torontobluff ( $228.50) Seat 6: PFCMcDermot ( $250) Seat 7: Zape67 ( $298) Seat 8: MurphyTheDog ( $237) Seat 9: SUITSOVILLO ( $122) Seat 10: quilldodger ( $265) MurphyTheDog posts small blind (2) SUITSOVILLO posts big blind (5) PFCMcDermot posts big blind (5) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to PFCMcDermot [ Ah, As ] quilldodger folds. golfnuting folds. rsau447423 folds. rocketronnie folds. supraholic91 folds. torontobluff folds. The software is horrific to look at, and plays just as bad. The bot seems to know what hands to play before the flop (although position is questionable), but it has NO CLUE what to do once the flop hits the board. What ever you do, stay away from this software. You’re better off letting your dog play for you. |

Re: A Pokerbot has finally arrived.
PFCMcDermot,
Until the software AI can determine if it has top pair, or if it has an overpair it is worthless IMO. Other enchancements are sorely needed like distinguishing how far off the button you are, and how many people are yet to act, and how many people have called the blinds preflop. Winholdem seems more interested in making a buck and using the sharing mode than he does on improving the play of the bot. Useless software until they make some sorely needed changes or get someone that actually understands the fundamentals of holdem to help them out. |
