One of the adaptations i'm having to make at 10/20 6-max is that I'm actually having to fold to turn raises again. Its been a while...

[/ QUOTE ]
Really? I make the exact opposite adaption.

Yep. If you're folding to more turn check/raises in 10/20 than in 5/10, something is seriously wrong.

I think stripsqueez is exactly right for what it's worth. the 5/10 seems very passive to me mostly.

I think it can go either way. In selecting tables, I usually try to find a pretty weak/passive table, and have had great success at that. But in the past few days, I've been on tables with a maniac or two and bluff-a-holics. I think you can find whatever you're looking for.

Heads up, young paladin and defender of all that is +EV, others have defeated the demons spawned by the hell of 5/10-6max and you can slay them too!

It's a passive game. There are maniacs and lags but most are passive. Learning this is important.

most of the players are passive sure, but the games are aggressive.

heres one i just played. this guy was real 'fun' to play against

small sample UTG was whacky (unpredictable and laggy to say the least)

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls, UTG 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (16 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, Hero raises, SB calls, BB folds, UTG 3-bets, Hero calls, SB calls.

Turn: (12.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, Hero calls, SB calls.

River: (15.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB raises, UTG 3-bets, Hero folds, SB calls.

Final Pot: 22.50 BB

Results in white below:
UTG has 8h 9d (two pair, nines and threes).
SB has Qs Ts (flush, king high).
Outcome: SB wins 22.50 BB.

I'd either cap the flop or raise the turn.
