Default Is bad behavior the norm for poker rooms?

Sorry if this has been answered but I am new to live poker and have been a little shocked at the behavior at the table. Every time I have played at one of the local cardrooms there has been bad behavior.

The very first time I went a woman put a bad beat on another woman and the woman that took the bad beat brought it back up, not great behavior but acceptable. However the woman that put the beat on her said "shut you mouth honey before I slap it shut".
I went tonight and there were multiple instances of bad behavior, overly macho posturing "I swear you will never do that to me again!! Ever!"... stuff like that.
Is this normal for a public card room or did I hit it on bad nights?

That's what you get for playing at the El Cortez.
