and he kind of likes the deal, but doesn't want to help me, (he asked for a %% of the money if I place, I said no, but I think he might bend if I add another player). Can I add a third player along the lines of T. Henry, or Jimmy Smith? I lose some depth, but that's why I drafted so many RBs/WRs, so I could package them.

If you have an opponent dumb enough to be on the wrong end of that kind of quantity versus quality deal, then make it happen. Trade whoever you need to on your bench.

You might want to consider trying to expand the deal to get Plummer too, because McNair is probably not going to last the season and is unlikely to be very good anyway.
