Default What\'s the best coffee for home consumption?

I usually buy starbucks coffee, whole bean, grind it up and brew.

However, I have decided or realized, that there has to be more to coffee than what I have experienced.

I want to get the best stuff, or at least the really really good stuff.

Who can help?

Thanks,

SC

Kopi Luwak.

It's the unprocessed excrement of a Palm Civet.

No, I'm not kidding.

Well...

Any of those homegrown special grind-yourself varieties at the grocery store are better than Starbucks.

Personally, for good, cheap instant coffee, I use Folgers' Special Roast. Oddly enough, it's actually pretty decent.

Gevalia is special order, but very good.

And go to any coffeehouse, and you can probably buy beans there(other than Starbucks). Figure out if you like dark or light beans, blends...etc....what kind of flavors you want. There's a bean for everyone these days.
