610 BB downswing and counting...

Any suggestions? The only number that sticks out to me is that my VP$IP is low for 5/10 6 max, but that isn't for a lack of trying to open up my game. The cards just don't seem to be there preflop. The worst part about this downswing is that I've had some perfect table conditions that I can't capitalize on. One guy spewed $500+ at my only 6-max table today, and I finished down $30.

my stats r about exactlly the same for this month...its been an insanely rough month...im just trying to tough it out and luckily had enough of a bankroll built up that this hit hasnt forced me down a lvl yet. I don't play 6max, so I shouldn't say anything about it.

The full ring numbers look fine, although I'm sure the sample size police have a warrant for your arrest.

I feel for you Bill. This is a horrid downswing. Your 5/10 full stats are unbelievable, WSD 24.75 and W$SD 40.82. Yuck. That's a good sign you are running horribly.

Your 6-max stats look OK. A little tight preflop with a low PFR. Your ASB figure is also low. You should try stealing more and protecting your blinds a little more. With your tight image, you could probably be 3-betting out of the SB against a steal-raise with hands like KJo, A8o+, A6s+, and all PP. Try Nate's blind protection methods by calling with hands like 76s+ in the BB and reraising with hands like A7o+.

One thing about stats is they say nothing about your postflop aptitude. Only hand posts will give us a clue if you are playing well postflop.

For the sample size police, here are my all-time stats, just so we can sorta compare the last 2 months (and how they've torched my BR) with the 3-4 months prior.

For the full ring games

1) It looks like you fold too much postflop. A won at showdown of 58.5% is too high imo (unless you play really well after the flop). It looks like you are giving up on too many winners (at 3/6).

2) Your river aggression at 5/10 6max seems really low. That might be normal for the game, but I doubt it. At 3/6 it is better but you might not be value betting enough on the end. Getting those extra bets when people will call with hopeless hands really adds to the bottom line.

You are too tight in the 6-max games. You need to defend more, steal more, raise more, and just play more hands.
