The secret is out... this is the best place I have found to do an absolutely insane wine tasting. Mario Batalli's food is ok, but his sommelier is the best. I recommend the olive oil gellato for desert... sounds disgusting, but its heavenly.

yeah... I know its deviating from the bar theme.. but Colgin got my mouth watering.

PS: Merc Bar is a personal favorite for after work, the old Polish bar on the side on Irving Plaza is my favorite dive for Guinness, pool, and AC/DC.

I was there tonight and drank lots of Bass and Brooklyn Lager on tap. Great bar.

EDIT: I rarely eat here, but tonight I shared lemongrass chicken (basically just grilled chicken in a spicy bbq sauce) and tempura bananas with a girl I was with. All three were delicious!
