Default Las Vegas & Las Vegas cardrooms in the summar

If I understood right, "Las Vegas" (meaning the casinos and poker rooms in particular) is pretty dead during the week and alive and kicking in the weekends. And during the summer Las Vegas is pretty dead all summer long. So if I go to Las Vegas for a week in the middle of the summer should I expect a pretty dead place all week or what? Should I go there for a week in the fall or something instead? It can't be only locals playing during the weeks can it? Pretty stupid question perhaps...

it's much more of a night and day thing, as opposed to weekday and weekend.

Me and some friends went there last year in the middle of July. It was dead, especially in the day time. The night life was o.k, but pretty much dead besides that.

yep... Vegas is the mecca... it's goin 24/7 and Summer is one of the peak times in town, especially on the strip on the weekends... however regardless of that - - you'll find a game going in almost every room at every time of day.. the major rooms - Mirage, MGM, Belliago, Excalibur.. even the Palms & maybe the Orleans will even have full tables at all times of the day & nite - weekend and weekday!!

so pretty simple - finding a game is never an issue... now if you want to experience a jam-packed-crowded-traffic-newyork like vegas - then come during superbowl weekend, new years, and a few other holidays.... have fun [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

depends on what limits you want to play. 30/60 and under there are always good games going.

yeah considering i've never played higher than 2-5 NL or 10-20 Limit.. wouldn't really know about those higher limits.. I think for those higher limits though - a good suggestion would be to try the california cardrooms if vegas seems dead - they always have regulars playing 40-80 from what i hear
