Default Where to play in Vegas...again!

Sorry! I know this question has been asked a thousand times, but since conditions change, I thought I would ask again.

I am heading to Vegas this weekend for a few nights. And, would like to play some live Hold em. I have only played holdem in B&M room once in my life (home games excluded), but have booked countless hours on Paradise. I mostly play 1/2, or 2/4 and can hold my own. I have a few leaks, but I am working on em!!

My question to you guys is where and at what limits should I play?

Thanks in advance!

Where are you staying? If you're staying on the Strip I can't see any reason not to just play the Mirage 3/6 or Bellagio 4/8, especially if you don't like cigarette smoke.

Go play the Monte Carlo - they have $4-8 with $1-2 blinds and a great $1-4-8-8 spread game with the same blinds. Nice little room - I really enjoyed it. (thanks to Dyansty for suggesting it).

Of course, the Mirage and Bellagio are both great. I liked the Mirage room over the Bellagio - not exactly sure why, just did.

The $3-6 game is soft, but so is the $6-12. A few better players, but basically the same game.

The Bellagio $8-16 is a crapshoot. It's either pump and gun or rock city. I played it my first night there and it was pump and gun like crazy. It was a dream game to play in - but the variance is a bitch. I was down to about $120(from a $400 buy-in) and won 2 pots back to back that were both over $300 each. Needless to say, I hit the cashier shortly thereafter...

Good Luck!

How is the Luxor tourney? Have you played in it before? Is it fun? What can you win? I have never played in a tourney before, but would like to give it a shot.

If you have never played in a tourney before, go to luxor at noon. everyday they have this VERY cheap, VERY small tournament. I think it's like $25 or something (I've never played it but my friend has. he says there's this guy who plays everyday, and his wife plays everyday, and they always start in the same seats. cute.)

I like cheap buy in tournaments. It think tournaments are more fun than ring games, but I'm 30X better at a limit ring game then I am in a no limit tourney. Honestly I feel like I don't know what the hell I'm doing in no-limit, but still managed to win a couple small tournaments. If you are aggressive, and get lucky, you can win.

maybe I'll see you there, just look for the guy who looks like he's too young to be in a casino

Sweet! I will definitely give it a shot. Look for me there! I am 5'9, short dark hair, 33.

If you are at my table, go easy on me!
