Default Opening with A9o and A8o from utg and utg+1 (party 10/20, 6max)

From cutoff or button this is a clear raise for me. But do you raise, limp, or fold from utg or utg+1? Especially, what do your statistics say about that? Thank you.

My thresholds for 5/10 were ATo for UTG and A8o for UTG+1. Given the wackiness of 10/20 I'm *trying* to tighten up a bit . . . but given these guys have no respect for preflop raises and will coldcall with just about anything, fact is that I think raising with those is still okay.

What about open-limping with A9o and A8o from utg? I will do so with other hands down to 22 and JTo (as the worst) because they are to good to toss vs K5s and other nonsense, but too bad when they get reraised.

Open-limping in SH is for wussies! And, I think, in general not a very good idea.

pains me to agree with eugeneel but i completely agree - limping UTG in 6 max is a crime - i've done it a few times but only to prove that i can do it

i think folding A10o UTG in the 10/20 is a decent plan and do so regularly - with A9o and a limper or 2 i usually raise from the cutoff or button

Yeah, but with ATo, or KJo from UTG, I almost always raise with at 5/10, but getting 3bet as much as you do at 10/20 it seems like it might not be a great idea. KJo I particulary hate playing out of position vs. a LAG after being 3-bet.

its kind of the same principal with A8o or A9o in MP, but if the player is really LAGy, then i feel much better playing out of position when I at least have Ahigh.

I will raise A9o from UTG+1 sometimes.
