Default 3-4 table 3/6 6-max or 8-table full ring

after a horrendous downswing that has obliterated my confidence, I have decided to play 3/6. *Puke* Anyway, which of my choices do you think would be better in terms of money/fine tuning/rakeback/etc. None of the rb calculators have 3/6 6-max, how does it compare to 5/10 6-max? In any event, I have punished myself by doing a 30-day sentence in 3/6 land, so any input is appreciated.

I think of you like Pinnocchio: the gimmick account that would be a real boy.

Anyway, are you asking us to tell you to play either 3/6 6 max or 3/6 full? You're normally a 5/10 player? I think the responses you'll get here will be pretty unanimous in favor of 6 max.

Full ring, that way the fish at short handed games will last a bit longer?

If you're tilting, full ring is the way to go. I'd actually even advise some NL SNGs for a little bit.

Full ring for sure, allow you to focus more on post flop play than preflop play and work those mistakes out of your game again.

How do you figure full ring allows you to focus more on post-flop play. You are pushing more and smaller edges in 6-max, where pre-flop matters a lot less. Please explain.

You can play tighter so you have less frequent hard decisions. As you said "you are pushing more and smaller edges in 6-max". You have a lot more marginal situations more frequently.

I was advocating full ring precisely because there should be less marginal situations, meaning you'll be less apt to make marginally poor decisions due to tilt.

Why not cut back in tables and get back at 5/10 if you ahve the roll..?

well, several reasons:

a) I'm not to thrilled with my 5/10 winrate

b) I feel like I can't win at the moment.

c) I know I beat 3/6
