If that program doesn't work, try using one of the bootable Knoppix (linux variant) cds and getting into the HD that way. I think they even make a distro that is specifically designed as a rescue cd.

I assume your hard drive partitions are NTFS?

Try this program to make a bootable floppy to access NTFS partitions that win2k and XP use:

the bootable floppy disk will also allow you to run chdsk too if I remember correctly. you may be able to bootup after running chdsk too.

ideally, you'd make a bootable cd that could read ntfs that could access the cd burner.

i have used this program to make bootable CDs that contain uptodate virus files that can read ntfs.

alright i got it all fixed. most of the stuff i tried was usless. i received my new harddrive today, installed windows, and tried my fried drives as slave. the first one or two reboots they werent recognized but then they all were at once. weird.

so i guess i win myself 100 bucks.
