Default Staying at the Wynn next Tue-Sat (12/6-12/10), advice?

This may be a stupid question, but I'll be staying at the Wynn with Kleinstadt1 next week and am wondering where the best mid-week mid-limit hold'em games are. From what I hear:

Wynn's games are pretty good.
Mirage's 10-20 kind of sucks but 20-40 is good.
Belagio 15-30 isn't worth the wait or staff.

Is this about right?

I played the 8-16 game at Wynn a couple weeks ago. The first session (either Tuesday or Wednesday) was great. Mostly tourists that would stick around with mediocre hands. Won about $400 in 3 hrs or so. The second time I sat at that game (Friday afternoon) there were 4, maybe 5 locals who were all pretty good players that played tight, mistake free poker. I was catching terrible cards and when I did get something decent someone else would hit their cards. Lost $700 that session (mostly on stupid plays and steals that got called).

Overall I really liked the 8-16 structure but I guess it all depends on the table composition. I guess it just depends on what day you play, what time of day, etc.

8-16 depends very much on the table. I don't think there is a blanket statement that can cover it all. Last time I played there, I lost about $600 over 6 hours to players who were more skilled than average and appeared to be local. You should do what I should have done -- play for an hour or so to get a feel of the table, and if there are too many good players there, go elsewhere.

Actually, your thinking, at least in part, seems to be going against the current trend and my experience, $15-30 at the B is quite good. Don't know about the $20-40 at Mirage. Scroll down the B&M forum and look for a post by alphanumerics - there you will find some discussion on this subject with a link to more comment.

the mirage 10 game is boring but very beatable (weak tight). the 20 game is spotty, it can be quite good but often has too many competant locals.

the bellagio 15 game is almost always good. however the 30 game is your bread and butter if you want to play that high and can handle some tricky lag play on occation.

Take a shot at the Bellagio 30 on the weekends. It is a great game. I also got to play with Shannon Elizabeth once in it. Mmmmmmm.

Wynn 15/30 is good ---
Bellagio 15/30 day is good night is a little chip toss fest but still not bad
the 30/60 day is good night gets a little more LAG
The 5 star is running, the room is packed--games will be there
You will be able to spot those if use there to make a living ---you will have no problem in 99% of the games there

The 10/20 Mirage day is tight but not great layers
the 20/40 is good---a little LAG at times---

Isn't a table full of people who bet/raise and reraise with bottom pair type junk always the best thing you can hope to find?
