More D-Link issues........

I was a happy cable modem user. Then someone installed a D-link LAN on my computer and things got a little shakey but were tolerable. Now I've added a second monitor and moved everything and things are no longer tolerable. Not sure if my increased disconnects are related to increased multi-tabling, playing on multiple sites or if there is interference or a bad cable involved. I would happily shitcan the D-link if I knew how to do it and restore my direct cable(the LAN is no longer needed). However, I am not real sure how to undo what has been done without screwing up and cutting off my only connection to technical help.....
