The most interesting about this poll so far, is not that twice as many have admitted they would be dishonest, but that most readers chose not to vote.

I explained this in the third reply, you trolltard. The two options you gave are not in any way descriptive of real, actual life. Hence reasonable people choose not to participate in your utterly moranic poll. Please step in front of a speeding bus.

In other words, you mean that there is more than just honesty and dishonesty?

[/ QUOTE ]

Your poll options are not "be honest" and "don't be honest". They're "be honest and go broke" and "be dishonest and sleep with bunnies". That's why your poll is stupid. Please step in front of a speeding bus.

All these rigged posts seem to have a dumb philosophy: Fish won't come back if they bust out. I am guessing that reload bonii work pretty well and that sites offer tips and such to cater to the idea that poker mastery is just around the corner, and enough come back. Kinda like golf. I lose my buy in every time I play golf, but I keep coming back for that sweet, land on the green, I could be a pro feeling! I think the reason they play BS cards is closely tied to this pot winning euphoria and all the casino's have to do be a casino. Bars don't have to trick alcholics into thinking their booze is a good investment, just open the damn doors and presto...

For the record: I'd rather be honest and go broke...life is short, eternity is loooong.

Yeah, nobody would run an honest game. Look at how all those cardooms in Nevada, California, and other places failed.

And bah, just because the internet sites have a wider market to draw from than any live room, there's still no chance for them to succeed, either.

The poll is stupid. If you gave me $x dollars and two choices: Lose it all or incease it 1,000%, I'd take the latter. Great. Who wouldn't?

You're trying to use this as a "proof" that online poker is rigged, but that's also stupid because this poll doesn't even reflect a bizzarro reality, let alone this one.

Obviously, a B&M poker room can be run without it being rigged, and be profitable. Why wouldn't it follow that an online room can be run WITH LESS OVERHEAD and be profitable without being rigged?

Maybe if the poll was "You can run a clean site and make 500% profit, or a rigged site and make 1000% profit. Which do you choose?" it might come close to being able to see reality from a distance.

Without repeating everything everyone has already said about why the poll is stupid, I pick choice 1.

Why?

Because if I am going to run a business, I am going to run it honestly. I'm not an unethical [censored].

Besides, in the long run, running an honest business is good business and will get you farther than cheating your customers.

If you have any desire to actually investigate, with a rational mind, if online poker is rigged here's a good place to start:

However, I have my doubts that you truly want concrete info.

William I'm glad you are posting. So much better to read insightful contrarian views than the general conformist crap.

We're not playing chess here. The game is friggin' designed to help the fish, convince them they're just unlucky, and keep them playing. That's a lot of why Holdem is popular now and 5 Stud and Draw are not. If you really feel the need to pump it up, there's a much easier and legitimate way to go about it: invent and promote the hell out of an even-higher-variance game.

Scenario 3: You run an honest site. The cards just let fishes draw out on sharks. Just times to begin with, but as you see that your site becomes more and more popular, the badbeats (wich are the secret to your succes) are now part of every game, almost constantly because the site is more popular and more hands are being dealt every day.
