Default Live $2-$5 Semi deep against an idiot who barely knows the rules

Ok, Live $2-$5 game, $200max local B&M.
My stack: $850
Villain's stack: $475

Table as a whole is pretty loose-passive. We're down to 7 players at our table. Villain sat down about 45 minutes ago, and he's a complete idiot. He tries to check preflop every hand, until the dealer reminds him he cannot. He has been drinking the whole time too.

Villain just took down a monster pot with J7o rivering 2pair. He's a loosie goosie and, like i said, barely knows the rules.

I'm in the SB with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Villain is on my left in the BB.

4 limpers to me, I complete in the SB. Villian (still stacking chips) looks at his cards and checks in the BB.

Flop ($30) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

First to act, I bet $30. Villain calls. MP calls.

Turn ($120) A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet $60, Villain grabs a bunch of chips with each hand, and puts it in the middle. It amounts to roughly $200. MP folds and the action is on me. I push.

All comments appreciated.

What's your opinion of my flop lead into 5 other players instead of going for a check-raise?

What's your opinion of my turn action?

Thanks,
KoW

You are only behind 5 hands on the turn and you have a decent number of redraws against all of them. Against a ridiculous player like this, there is no way you can lay this down, and given that, pushing is your best option. I like it. As for leading into the flop I like that too, although it might depend on the stack sizes of your likely bettors (which keep in mind might not happen in an unraised pot, which would suck). If a check raise all in will look natural I'd be more inclined to go for that, however a check raise for half your stack leaves you in a very awkward position if a blank hits on the turn and you're first to act. I like the lead because if it gets raised you can push allin on top of that. Well played hand all around.

I'm guessing the river gave our Hero no help and the
Villain showed bullets down.

Nonetheless, I would have played it the same as our
hero.

The pot isn't big enough for you to check-raise all-in, so it's better to bet out and push if you get raised.
