Pair with straight and flush draws

One limper MP doubles the blind and I call with 97s on the button. The blinds and limper call.

BB bets 10 MP makes it 30 I make it 100 straight expecting folds or a push (which i will insta call with this great flop)

Supriingly both just call- WTF

Turn king of spades
BB bet 15 MP calls I call (folding equity out the window and I figure Ill get paid if I hit)

River black 2
BB bets 20 MP calls I fold.

This was a really strange hand and my pair with a flush and gutshot draw missed everything. Nobody was going to fold the turn so there was no point in putting more money in on the river unless I hit. On the river despite the odds I couldnt see 3rd pair being good.
Thoughts?
