Re: Hand reading exercise
Hero - TP or a set. With so many opponents, a semi-bluff with a primary draw seems a bit foolish. Maybe J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] though.
MP - Without a read it's almost impossible to tell. If he's a donk then he could have almost anything (TP, set, spade and/or st8 draw). If he's TAG, J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or Q:spade 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] would be my guess. If he's LAG, I really can't think a hand that would warrant a smooth call with that board. |

TWP... I'm amazed you call with any pair here. I had A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] this time He had K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and called. I have 2pair or set here 80% of the time though. I'd play K8 EXACTLY the same way. [/ QUOTE ] That's a very odd line for your hand. Personally, I would never attempt a semi-bluff with a primary draw against 4 opponents at a small stakes table unless it was a complete rock garden. Your whole approach here just seems too aggressive unless I'm missing something. |

5 way pot to the flop Pot 2.5$ Flop K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] -- Hero bets 2$, MP calls Pot 6.5$ Turn 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] -- Hero checks, MP bets 5$, Hero CR all in for 22 more [/ QUOTE ] First, I amazed by those who were able to put you on the flush draw and your opponent on the KQ -- truly impressive. Second, I wonder why such an aggressive check raise on the turn? A bold semi-bluff or a wild gamble? No dis--Truly trying to understand the strategy and hope a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hit on the river. |

Re: Hand reading exercise
Am I missing something, or will 90% of players stab at this turn with a draw after the flop bettor checks?
We're playing the same Party 50 NL game right? |
