I keep reading PTBB and regular BB's, and posts I've read explain their relationship to each other but not to dollars.

Am I correct in thinking 4 PTBB/100 @ 5/10 = 8 BB/100 = $80/100?

If by "BB" in this context, you mean "big blind".

As opposed to "PTBB" which means "poker tracker big bets".
