Is pineapple a low-limit only game in CA and VA?
They just started spreading pineapple in the Midwest, and it looks like a) lots of fun and b) a gold mine. There were several players who came down from 20/40 HE to play bad 3/6 Pineapple.
I know this game has been spread out west for several years, but is it typically a low-limit only game? Do you see 30/60 Pineapple games? |

They don't, I'm a moron. I'm multitasking and was answering a question for a client in Virginia.

[/ QUOTE ] I got a good chuckle out of that as well. As for pineapple, doesn't exist here in town, unless a group of players get together and want to spread it. I did play a 5/10 mixed game at the Aladdin a few weeks ago that had Crazy Pineapple inserted in place of holdem. I couldn't believe how many of the players had no clue how to play stud or omaha. |

Re: Is pineapple a low-limit only game in CA and NV?
In Los Angeles, for the first two years the games was spread, it was an absolute gold mine. Its the first game I was really able to absolutely kill...run the table by value betting and raising HARD!. The fish really have no idea how to play and trapping the whole table for a raise on the turn is just outstanding. I found the best hands were A2s or A3s As the scooping potential was insane. I don't think I ever played low cards that lacked an Ace or any high cards that did not hold an Ace except KK, KQ, KQs and then only continued if I hit the flop very well.

Pineapple in FL, too
I played some $2-$2 Crazy Hi last night in north Florida. Lot of fun, but I'll stick to Hold'em and Omaha and Stud, thanks.
