Default Question for bluffthis

You are Catholic right? Iv'e heard that the catholics only accept 12 books of the apocripha as canon. Is this true and why do you not accept the others?

The Catholic Church recognizes as part of the OT canon 7 additional books plus additional parts of 3 others which protestant denominations do not. Beyond that, it would regard many other writings as apochrypha as do the protestants. The Orthodox churches also accept these to my knowledge, although the Ethiopian Orthodox Church recognizes even more.
