Default Final Table Play

Final table of Party 30+3 Pot Limit Omaha8
3 handed
Blinds 5k/10k
Hero 80K
Villian1 100K
Villian2 100K

I was under 20K not long ago and both Villians were hyper aggressive leaning on me and each other. Luckily I caught some cards and scooped a couple pots to get right back in it. Play continues to be very aggressive with few flops being seen.

Hero is UTG with QQ88 single suited

Hero raises to 30K, SB folds, BB raises to 90K

Hero????

Any thoughts or criticism appreciated.

Personally I would have just folded it. If both blinds were playing very loose aggressive then theres a good chance they will either reraise you as one did, or just call and lead right into you on any flop. Is this really a hand you want to call off your stack with? Just my opinion.

I really like your hand...in Pot Limit Omaha HIGH, the game is your playing is high low, this hand is worth a limp at best, but thats in a full table and with a lot of callers, the only hands that are going to call your raise are hands with A/2 and your going to be dead if any low cards come if thats the case, as far as the guy who reraised you, he has Aces and if he has no low I like your chances, but if he has something like A/A/2 your screwed, just a bad hand should have folded preflop without thinking.

In spite of the very attractive pot odds (115:50 or better than 2:1), my first thought was 'you're in trouble here without having any low potential'. In hindsight, it's easy to say you should have folded, but cest la vie.

The question is, does a fold jusify playing on w/ 50k at 5k/10k blinds?

If you think the villain has Axxl, where l is any low, you could be as good as even $:

Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 500000 sampled boards
cards scoop HIwin HIlos HItie LOwin LOlos LOtie EV
Qs Qc 8c 8d 189411 307103 192826 71 0 0 0 0.497
9s 5s Tc Ah 192826 192826 307103 71 180011 0 0 0.503

Given the villain's agg play, this begs for a call. In general, when the pot odds are this good and your stack is that small, you have to gamble. (Which is why you raised in the first place, I think...)

Yeah, I raised to pick up the blinds. When he popped it back I knew I was in trouble, but the pot odds.....

I know the hand is no monster in Hi-Lo. But the blinds were big and I had very few opportunities to open the pot.

I guess I felt any hand worth playing was worth a raise for the fold equity.

I made the final table as the short stack(10K) and was forced to make a bunch of aggressive moves and shake my luckbox to get this far. But I also laid down a bunch of big hands when I didn't need to gamble.

I think I was a little too satisfied with a top three and got a little sloppy.

Exactly.

I play it the same. You have 8x BB Your standards must be loose here; this is not a ring game. And getting better than 2:1 you must call his raise. and don't raise to 30k when you can raise to 35k.

I'd play it the same. A big pocket pair is very valuable when your stack is only eight times the big blind. Call the raise and hope to see a Q or an 8.
