I got it, I think it's awesome. The ironic part is that I like this thing a lot better than either of the original songs on their own.

On a tangent, you can basically interchange the lyrics with the production of any mainstream rap song, and I wish mash-up DJs would cut that [censored] out. It's lazy.

I think I know what you're referring to, but this was a music file.

There's an actual web site out there somewhere that has "How you remind me" and "Someday" are both playing and you can use a slidebar to play both, one, or some kind of mix of both.

Basically what kipin is getting at is that Nickelback is unoriginal as hell.

It sounds like they are in the same key too.

Whoever make the file changed the tempo and key of the left component song to match the other one. It's definitely a higher pitch than it should be, probably by two semitones or so.

For me, I don't hate on bands that do this. This is basically all pop music is anyway - the same stuff being repackaged under a different name. There's definitely a science behind making music appeal to the overall public, and not just the PR stuff. Certain chords, certain progressions, certain dynamics and instrumentals and production techniques appeal more to our senses. Major labels know this. Pop bands pump out I-V-vi-IV songs because that's what people want to hear, not the other way around.

Exactly. Plus, let's not kid ourselves, even getting to the point of being able to play these instruments pretty damn well and sing too...not the easiest thing in the world.
